It's lke a muscle stimulator that is used in biological research... think making frog's lega kick.
Grass is a brand. They also made biophysical stripchart recorders and so on.
Much of the gear is for experimenting on yuckky, squishy things.

Ah- That fits with the other items listed. I was hoping for a rodent eradicator; I have a lemon bush that a local family of about 4 rats have decided to feed on. They eat the rinds of the meyer lemons and scamper away at about 8pm, down the fence line. I got a "humane" trap to avoid killing cats and squirrels, but haven't set it up yet. And, yes- the rats aren't gonna be treated humanely... -cue evil laughter-...
