a school bus accident and several people and vehicles are involved. it crashed in harford county. >> we'll begin with the morning's breaking news. a three vehicle accident involving a school bus as you saw and it sent several to the hospital this morning. sky chopper 13 is over the scene this morning. mike perry has the latest. >> reporter: good afternoon, don and everyone. we're in harford county on route 155. where after 8:00 this morning a three vehicle collision all collided on route 155 causing a very, very severe damage to the bus, the bus rolled over and the suv is demolished. we know that at least all three drivers were transforted to local area hospitals.

they were six children on the bus, they were transported to the hospitals and there's no word at this point on their condition. you can see, this is a very, very significant accident. four hours now, through route 155, it's been closed on route 155. we're watching the tow trucks righting the school bus and they'll move the cars out of the way. we have harford county sheriff's office on the scene. they'll be here for another half hour to 45 minutes. thank you, and the damage to the suv a amazing. you can't even tell what brand it was. we'll have more on tonight. more on the crash tonight. the police are looking for the suspect in a home shooting. homeowners say that four masked men forced their way into the

house and tried to hold them at gunpoint. one of the gunmen shot a woman inside. the police don't have suspects but the home was tarted. >> -- targeted. the police officers have the preppy burglar. the detectives received a tip after we aired this video of a man in a shirt and tie bringing items out of a home. the 30-year-old is now charged with burglary, theft and obstruction of property. it's been months since a baltimore county student was beaten to death at a university. ron matz is live in the eyewitness news room to explain more. >> reporter: students and staff are encouraged to address safety. it's called day of dialogue for

the community. this is after yeardley love was killed inside her off campus pardon me. her exboyfriend is charged with murder. he kicked in her door and slammed her head against the walsh and open communication among classmates and staff is the first step towards a safer and healthier community. >> he said it was accidental. some towns in the midwest are under water after downpours trigger flash flooding. to make matters worse, more rain is in the forecast out there. >> reporter: basements are knee deep in the flood waters of wisconsin. and backyards, swing sets are out of commission while the pumps work to drain the flooded properties. the city of arcadia is south of minneapolis and it's taken the brunt.

he survived and he's in critical condition back here in the u.s., it could be a long day for lindsay lohan. she's due in court at this hour after she failed a drug ordered drug test. she was just released from rehab and the viablelations could land her in jail for a month more. and you could call it an off night for two robbers in colorado. the men entered a liquor store and called the man to get on the floor. their night didn't stop there. the same night, they attempted another robbery and ended up both getting shot. they're expected to recover and they'll face charges. still ahead on eyewitness news at noon. as you take another live look outside. the forecast the 2 1/2 minutes away. first, let's look at today's midday stocks. ,,,,,,,,,

and the record challenging heat is making its way into the mid- trick atlantic today. the record is 95. it will be close and not on the fringe. we're talking about the record highs and it's the end of september here. it's all because of this front. and this is the one that brought the flooding to the midwest. it's rial dying out and that trend will continue. and when it moves through maryland, we'll have a chance for a shower and that's going to take if heat with it and we'll have a chance of rain increasing next week. it will move up from the south sunday. we'll get a shower during the day sunday. for the home opener for the prostate cancer challenge also, for the most part, it looks to be dry. we'll keep you up to on that and check back. the rain comes in monday and we'll have rounds of rain into tuesday. on the waters, matthew, tropical storm racing to the west. and it will come into the gulf. it could be a problem for the

united states. we'll track that one closely. lisa is way out there and it's a tropical storm moving to the north, north west and we'll keep you updated on that. as a matter of fact craft advisories into effect this afternoon as the winds pick up. we're going up to 93 degrees. it will be muggy outside. and then, tonight, 68 for the low and tomorrow, we'll cool it down. we're talking an a high of 86 degrees and we're talking about a slight chance of a shower and then, the cooler air really settles in for sunday. some have their pools still open. take advantage of them today. >> i'm looking forward to the sunday and the five-day forecast. >> yes, we'll have that for the ravens. >> the great prostate cancer challenge is sunday. and marty bass is back from vacation to emcee the run/walk and more. it starts at 8:00 a.m. at towson university.
