If you want to run into a celebrity, you'll want to shop where they do too. The world-famous Rodeo Drive attracts celebrity shoppers with its luxury designers and flagship boutiques.

Known as the intersection of fashion royalty and rising stars, Hollywood glamour and global influence, Rodeo Drive is a truly iconic boulevard. Dedicated followers of fashion come here for Gucci, Tom Ford, Dior, Alexander McQueen, Versace and Prada – and these Rodeo Drive stores carry the houses' full collections.

A visit to Rodeo Drive is incomplete without experiencing its iconic landmarks, such as the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Standing majestically at the corner of Rodeo Drive and Wilshire Boulevard, this historic hotel has been a beacon of luxury since 1928.

That said, some stores require appointments for entry and are generally off-limits to tourists. Driving or walking will take you past designer clothing shops by Armani, Gucci, and Coco Chanel; jewelers Cartier, Tiffany, and Harry Winston; and exclusive couturiers where you need an appointment just to get in the door.

TCL Chinese Theatre, El Capitan Theatre and various other movie theatres around town hold film premieres, where most of the cast of will show up to give speeches, sign autographs and take selfies with fans. They're free to attend and always fun. It's one of the best ways to guarantee seeing a celebrity in LA.

This drive is one of the most iconic streets to visit in the area and is full of designer shops and eateries. A pretty treelined place, we walked from one end to the other without going into a shop. Window shopping was adequate. Lots of outdoor shops.

Since most visitors want to just have a look and don't intend to drop thousands on a shopping spree, being there in the evening is a good way to get the experience without the sticker shock and the crowds that tend to fill it up during the day.

Is Rodeo Drive expensive? Rodeo Drive is certainly full of high-end designer stores that are expensive to shop at. This is not a place to hunt for deals. That said, it's free to visit and window shop.
